All At Sea...almost

I have completed chapter 18 of The petticoat Searchers/Runcible Briggs, albeit in first draft/rough form. I am also nearly through chapter 19 but there are some issues. Just need to iron them out/decide if it's the direction I want to go. I think the story will wrap up with chapter 20 and I may do a short epilogue to tie up where the characters who have already left the plot ended up. I don't think they merit more than a line or two each and it will be a fun thing.

Anyway, chapter 18 is up via the link on the main page. I will say, all is not settled yet. There is some 'at sea' action to come.

Below is a mock up of a potential cover for the book. The picture is one I took and edited/filtered/adjusted of Christmas Steps. (As a cover it needs more work!)

Christmas Steps is reputedly the oldest street in Bristol, dating back perhaps as far as the 1400's (when it had a different name). It's just off the centre of the city and perhaps a ten minute or less walk from the nearest part of the docks. I believe up to the 1930's, the docks extended into the centre of Bristol. Post WW2, the remaining dock area of Bristol's city centre was covered and built over - roads and walking areas rather than buildings. This link will open a page of The Bristol Magazine with pictures of the docks pre and post covering-over. https://tinyurl.com/39krs8kz
